A total amount of 159 people attended the Congress. People came from 11 Latin American and European countries and from different institutions:
– 106 attendees from Uruguay
– 21 attendees from Brasil
– 16 attendees from Argentina
– 4 attendees from México
– 3 attendees from Holanda
– 3 attendees from Italia
– 2 attendees from República Checa
– 1 attendee from Colombia
– 1 attendee from Cuba
– 1 attendee from Inglaterra
– 1 attendee from Venezuela

Many papers were presented for revision. The Academic Committee accepted 90 of them and they were published. The full version of the book can be downloaded in this web site. |

The thematic workshops were organized in 16 sessions and 75 oral presentations were done. After each presentation, an open space was given in order to foster interchange between lecturers and audience. |

| Moreover, there were many opportunities for informal interchange between lecturers and audience. |

| The Congress ended with a visit to 2 pilot farms of the Uruguayan Case study of the EULACIAS project, on the 30th April. The tour helped the participants to better understand the approach of the project and the sustainability problems of family farms growing vegetables and cattle in the South of Uruguay. |
